The Newark Workforce Investment Board, Inc. is a non-profit 501c3 organization created pursuant to the Workforce Investment Act of 1998 (WIA).
The purpose of WIA is to provide workforce investment activities that increase employment, retention, and earnings of and occupational skill attainment by participants.
WIA provides a unique opportunity to establish a localized, full-service employment and training system to make programs and resources easily accessible to job seekers and employers.
