The submission of this modification to the Newark Workforce Investment Board’s 2004 Strategic Plan, is to meet the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act’s (herein referred to as ARRA) immediate requirement for local reporting.
This document is not to be viewed as the modification to the five- year Strategic Plan that is mandated to be updated every five years. The planning process for the five-year revision is scheduled to begin after the ARRA Implementation Plan has been completed and approved by the State Department of Labor and Workforce Development (DOLWD) and the State Employment and Training Commission, (herein referred to as the State Workforce Investment Board).
